Send key messages to members of the Education Committee. Write your state legislators to ask them  to support school psychologists and school mental and behavioral health services by supporting legislation to address shortages such as an Oregon Tuition Service Obligation Grant. This legislation will provide critical funding to increase access to services and address workforce shortages.

Join the OSPA Government and Professional Relations Committee to partner on key legislative activities.

Go local

Engage with your school board to advocate for comprehensive school psychological services at the local level.

Actions can include:

  • Subscribe to email newsletters and notifications of meeting agendas and announcements; 
  • Send an email advocating for school mental health to your representatives;  
  • Participate in local education groups; and 
  • Sign up to present to the school board on the need for a comprehensive school psychology service delivery model.
