Time Sensitive - Action Alert

A hearing for the Interstate Compact for School Psychologists (ICSP) has been scheduled with the Senate Education Committee for April 28th!  The ICSP is one strategy to address school psychologist shortages in Oregon.

Support the ICSP and Address School Psychologist Shortages:

1. Submit testimony for HB 2596 here. You can reference these examples of testimony from the House hearing for HB 2596.

HB 2596 overwhelmingly passed the House Education Committee.  Your testimony will help it pass in the Senate. Testimony must be received within 48 hours after the start of the committee hearing.

Thank you for your advocacy!

The Oregon state legislation is current in the 2025 Regular Session

January 21, 2025 - June 29, 2025

There are numerous bills introduced that impact education and even school psychologists directly. The OSPA Government and Public Relations committee is actively watching these bills and we've partnered with NASP to keep a close eye on a few. Join the GPR to have the inside scoop or watch the Oregon State Legislature for movement and updates.

We will announce on this page when testimony is needed. These announcements are often urgent and time sensitive, so keep an eye out.
